Ballet Senior PortraitFeatured

Lilly’s Ballet styled photo-shoot was oh so fun! I sincerely could have photographed her all day long! NOT only does she have a perfectly fair and freckled complexion she also has no need for blush: because her cheeks are naturally flush and rosie! on top of all this Lilly has excellent posture, I’m sure from being a dancer her whole life, her body language is graceful and poised, so shooting with her was the easy part…… the hard part: finding much of anything alive this time of year even in Texas! I scout new locations daily: My advice to an aspiring photographer, drive a different way every time you go ANYWHERE it stimulates your creativity and helps you find new locations! (I stole that trick from the book: “how to get ideas“) XO- CarmenRose ~ hope you enjoy the images from our shoot.

Serving Roses and Scoring Some LoveFeatured

February 14, 2017

Happy Valentine’s Day! This shoot was inspired by the surplus of 80’s and 90’s themed Netflix/Amazon Prime series I’ve been bingeing on lately. I know I’m not the only one who feels like “Stranger Things” and “Red Oaks” are the new cult classics. From the vintage bikes, and wardrobing, to the music and film filters, these shows have me nostalgic for my childhood. Enjoy the images. Model: Anna Puff ;  Dress by Le Tigre, Shoes by Sam Edelman, Pink Sweater by Jcrew, Socks by Urban Outfitters. Sunglasses Models own. Jewelry stolen from our mother’s closets 😉 Location: private residence. All images by me (Carmen Evans)

Have Yourself A Rosie Little ChristmasFeatured

December 22, 2016

My childhood nickname was “Rosie”. It is no coincidence that my name-sake, my grandmother, also went by this name. Heritage is so important so when I branded my company 4 years ago I thought, “Wouldn’t it be nice if I could use my middle name and the personal meaning behind it to create an experience?” (by definition a brand is the emotional reaction you have while interacting with a company.) This dream has come true in at least three ways: 1. Color Scheme: obviously Rosé is a huge part of the pigment feels at LCR. 2. Cheeky humor and a goofy disposition: I’ve always felt it is important to not take yourself too seriously; call me crazy but life is more fun this way! Also, isn’t laughing at yourself better than judging yourself? 3. The color of LOVE: I actually think red is the official color of love, but why not... Read Full Post
