As a photographer I feel very comfortable in front of the camera but rarely do I have my portrait made. This year I absolutely insisted that my very own family have their portrait made so we could hang it in my parent’s home and send out a family Christmas card. Just FYI… we haven’t had our portrait made as a family since I was 10 years old. So I started my brainstorming and put together a set and props then went through everyone’s closet and coordinated all their outfits. It was so much fun for me. My dear friend who is also a photographer, Heather Rowland, took our family portrait. She absolutely did a fabulous job, I think you’ll agree. I love her style and she interacted with our family beautifully! It was Sunday, 60 degrees and overcast just slightly on the day of our shoot! It may have been like pulling teeth to get everyone to agree on missing church for a family portrait, but in the end every member of my family had an absolute blast posing and being in front of the camera! It was a family memory I know everyone will treasure.
I hope you’ll enjoy the images.
XO Love, Carmen Rose
