Its almost that time of year, the time we all bear nearly as much skin as the day we were born! I’ve never heard even the most fit woman say “I just love putting on a swimsuit”
This summer, with confidence, I want you to be able to be that girl! I’ve never been more content than when I finally get to the beach (my family goes to a beach every year) and I put on a new swimsuit, toss the tags in the trash and drape on a cover-up, load my beach bag full of SPF, Argan Oil, the latest Vogue and a good business book (because I don’t read novels) and head out to the sand!
So leading up to this relaxing experience is always the grueling: order, return, repeat. Swimsuit Shopping! Saying the two words just exhausts me!
I have found that there are several things that make this a little easier:
-Pick a color that flatters your skin tone and enhances your natural glow
-Know your body type, and buy flattering suits.
-A Good Tailor! ( My secret is I always get my swim suits altered) I want it to fit like it was made for me!
–Tan-Towel! The day of the tanning booth is over! No one wants to look 60 when they are 40 and tanning solutions are so advanced now! I use Tan-Towel! it comes in a little orange box! I swear by these and there is no oder, no orange!! wipe on and in 2 hours you’ll be glowing!
-Formaldehyde free nail polish brands keep your nails from yellowing or fading while in the sun. A bright color can make you look tan as well.
…..and my biggest secret: A GOOD wax! I know you’re cringing right now! But it is the most confident feeling ever knowing that the crotch of your swimsuit wont be the last to dry, or that a woredrobe malfuntion won’t end in the most embarrassing moment of your life! also consider a non-ingrown summer! ( I go to European wax center, I have a membership! Also I bought their mango extract anti-ingrown serum and the exfoliate (both work like a charm).
